I just saw my first 2320 at my local dealer (Finch John Deere in Westminister MD). It really is a nice looking machine. It has the general layout of the 2305 with the tractor frame and styling of the 2520.

They said they just got the two in. I had them give me a quote. I may have impulsed bought if the price had been OK.

Price I recieved was right at $13000 for the tractor and $3100 for the loader. Basically list price. I asked if it was at all negotiable and they said no. I guess they will find someone who will pay list on one since they are brand new.

Hopefully John Deere will get the production going on these full board soon and prices will come down a bit. This size machine is pretty much what I need anyway, but at $16,100, I can get a a Kubota 3030 with a loader and more features or at $15,000 get a Kubota bx24 with backhoe.

Did you see it parked side-by-side with the 2520 by any chance? I've been going back and fourth between the 2305 and the 2320 but have only had the 2520 to look at for comparison to the 2305. The 2520 is a bit big for what I want and the 2305 a bit small. I'm hoping that the 2320 is smack between them in size.

Thanks

They had the 2320 parked next to a 2305 in the back lot and a 2520 in the front, so I could not see exactly how they compared in size. They look pretty close to the same to me. The operator area on the 2320 looks very similar to the 2305. Same floor plastic floorboard etc. Next to the 2305 it looked to be about 8-12 inches taller and a little longer.

Sitting on both the 2320 and 2520, I would say the 2320 felt roomier. The floor board is noticably flatter on the 2320 and I would say it increases the operators foot room by quite a bit.

It really is a nice looking and comfortable machine. I probably would own one right now if the dealer was not so proud of it.

aesanders:

If you are really serious about buying at a good price then stay away from Finch's (at least the Westminster location). They constantly sell their stuff at list price while the Hanover, PA location of the same dealership chain sells for much less. Another great dealer that isn't too far from you is Clugston Ag & Turf in Chambersburg, PA (right beside route 81). They are usually hundreds (and many times thousands!!) less than Finch's.

I have no inside connection to any of these dealers -- this just comes from personal experiences. I used to deal with the Hanover location before it was sold to Finch's last year but now they ran it into the ground. Nobody I know in southcentral PA deals with Finch's anymore mainly because of their high prices. Just spec out what you want and call all the local dealers and ask for the total price including taxes and delivery. It is surprising how much better the local "single-building" dealerships are on price. I think they do it just to undercut Finch's and the other mega-dealers.

Just my 2 cents .....

Well I struck a deal for a 2320,

Looks like I'll be getting the 2320 from Greensouth in Gainesville Florida.

I am actually in the process of moving there from Maryland. I had been looking at several different brands and had priced out many different models from both Maryland/Pennsylvania and also Florida dealers and most were significantly cheaper in the Mid Atlantic. However, Greensouth came up with a decent price in the low/mid 14k range for the 2320 and cx loader so I decided to buy.

I've looked at everything under the sun and was waiting forever for this model to come out so I could at least see one prior to purchasing. I was actually all set to buy an orange machine and started to consider a Power Trac but once I saw the 2320, I knew I found the right machine for me. The egonomics are just the ticket. It is just the right size for my small acreage and horse barn.

I'll probably not get it for 4-6 weeks. My sales guy said they will stamp my name on one, but I won't be down to Florida till mid August.

Also getting a 48 inch rotary mower, landscape rake and box blade with the order.

Any thoughts on going I match for these?

If not for the rake, and box blade alone, it is definately worth the $200 price of admission. Call that dealer back and tell him you will give him $190 for an Imatch and see if he bites - list is $240ish. I called my dealer and told him to match the Speeco price of $190 and he did. Get that Imatch from the beginning! Check the Imatch post that is recent for other reasons. I love mine. I used mine and in 5 inutes moved my rake, rear blade, and carry all (I moddedmine to fit IMatch) and then rehooked up my tiller . It is great!

I totally agree with Mike's recommendations. Get the iMatch. My neighbor just bought a new 2520 with box blade, broadcast spreader, LX4 and 48" tiller. He was having fits (seriously bad back...) hooking up the tiller, BB and mower. I've been using my backhoe and didn't need the iMatch for a couple of weeks; so, I took it over and set it up for him. He uses jack stands to park his attachments and it takes him 2-3 minutes now to back up - hook the PTO up and go! He's sold! (Now, I've gotta convince him he should get the 200cx FEL in trade for the tiller...) AKfish

FYI: i have beeen told by multiple dealers that the following is correct.

4115 and 2520 are essentially the same tractror. The 2520 is the 4115 with new body armour and updated controls.

4120 and the 2320 are the same scenario. I looked at trading up tio a 4115 with a 72" mower but the pricing was too steep for the used 4115, and the trade-in value of my tractor with low hours was too low.

Correction:
Nuru really means "4110 and 2320 are same scenario".
According to specs though, the 2520 has slightly larger engine than 4115(81 cu. in. vs. 73 cu. in.), and the 2320 has larger engine than 4110(68 vs. 61 cu. in.).

Correct, my comments are focused more on the lines as the dealers are indicating that the 4100/4110 are replaced by the 2320, and the 4115 is being replaced by the 2520. Updated engines, controls, body armour!

Thanks 73jeep, I did not see my goof-up till today!

i still cannot convince myself to trade into one of these - maybe in a year or two after someone else has taken the new price gouging off of the unit.
