Local dealer went out of business

A local dealership that's been around forever went out of business- Payline West in the far west Chicago burbs. Really sad, they were great, had a good parts department, and did a large rental business to the construction industry with excavators and all kinds of heavy equipment. They were also a New Holland and Cat dealer. They built a new large location about 4-5 years ago, probably couldn't handle the construction downturn with all that new fancy building to pay for.

Not that this would have made a dent in this situation, this is the main reason I buy all my parts, fluids and filters from my local dealer. I would rather give them my hard earned money even if they are more expensive than from someplace online or 2 hours away. I want them to be around when I need them.

Hope that doesn't happen around here, our dealer must employ 25 people or so...I'd miss them 'em.

Not alot of people buying tractors these days - guess that's why the 0 percent financing is staying in place. It's a good time to buy if you can do it.

Thats been around for 5-6 years.
