location of Proportional drive solenoid 110 tlb JD

Does anyone know the location of the Proportional drive solenoid in a 110 tlb JD? Is it inside the tranny housing?
I am throwing code 12, which says "Valve Output to Forward or Reverse Solenoid Coil". The problem started by lurching forward very infrequently and proggresively got worse, then started throwing the code. I could shut it off, cycle it and then it would work again for awhile but finally it gave up and wont reset. It has been an extremely wet fall so I need to check all the connections first.
Any other suggestions?

My 110 started to lurch and got to the point I could only move it with the positioning control near the backhoe.

Turned out to be the flywheel sensor...

No idea if this is even a remote possibility only mentioning it because I read lurching in your post.

It will drive in reverse no problem, pedal or inching lever. Initially the inching lever would work forward and reverse too when the forward pedal was acting up. Now the inching lever will not move it forward.
The forward pedal flashes the code right away but the inching lever takes 5+ seconds with the lever activated before the code flashes.
I switched the forward and reverse potentiometers plugs around, the pedals worked fine and the forward circuit still would not work. That makes me think it is either a short, the solenoid or the HST controller.
Any thoughts?
I just can't seem to locate the solenoid to do further testing...
Do I need to have the JD dealer to run their Service Adviser software to locate this? If the solenoid is replaced I believe they do need to calibrate it.
