Hi guys, trying to help my dad here, so the info might be a little vague until I get out this weekend to have a look. He has a 2000 Polaris Expedition 425, 5 speed manual 4wd. (not very common)This week he put it up on jack stands to check the speedometer and discovered it won't come out of 4wd. The switch makes the light work properly and he says it appears the power is going to the proper places. I was wondering if anyone knows if the front diff is that basket style like on my Ranger. He said its built into the bottom end of the tranny so he didn't want to start tearing it apart until we can diagnose it a little further. The orig problem was the speedo/odo quit counting(lights up and appears to work but doesn't), could this all be related to the sensors that Polaris uses to get the 4wd to cut in? Shouldn't you be able to just switch off the 4wd regardless of the wheel slippage sensor? Thanks Hopefully we will be able to figure this out this weekend. Does anyone know where to find a manual for this thing. It came with a 3 page insert into a different model manual.
