Locking Glove Box????

On my new 6500, it says there is a "locking glove box" under the steering wheel, but when I unlock that panel, there is nothing inside that even remotely resembles a storage compartment. What's the deal on that? All you can see is the wires and engine.

Bummer. Call your dealer. My 3 yr. old 6000 has a small storage compartment on the back side of that panel. When I bought it there was a small zip-up notebook style case in there with spare fuses and light bulbs. Can't say for sure if that is where the electrical spares are upon delivery when new as mine was used.

Hunt4fun: I purchased a 6500 in April "05". Mine was the same as yours. Nothing there but wires etc.

I did wire up some overhead flasher, and front and rear lights, using the stock switches on the dash. This panel opening did provide good access to these switches.

Looks like you have a 4-wheel drive Mahindra from the picture. THey did not have a "box" under the door because of the shuttle linkage is in the way.
