Mowing Locking up the mower deck?

On the web site they said up can lock the MMM in the up position and still use the 3 point hitch, how would you do this ?

The only way I know of is raise the deck fully with the 3ph control then adjust the depth of cut control to the max height. You can then lower the 3ph arms and the deck will remain in the fully raised position.

Perhaps someone can chime in with a better way, but that is how I do it.

Yes, I read the owner's manual, cover to cover. Yes, I tend to study such things pretty thoroughly.

:ashamed:Yes, I completely forgot about being able to hold the MMM up with the height adjustment! That's gotta be easier than removing it to use the 3PH tiller for 20 minutes and then putting it right back on to mow the lawn! :mur:

*laughs hard* been there done that. ya get use to doing things so often same way in and out, some of the simplest things when you do something different and completely send me through a loop.

i always go out those one or 2 times a year things with tractors (bush hog, plow, disc, a trench) and think ok how do i do this again? talk about feeling like a newbie each and every time.

i hate to admit it, i didn't have a dog for about 5 years. when i got a new puppy, it took me 4 months. to remember and without thinking and get down out of the 3 switches which one turned on the rear porch light. it gets worse since i put motion detectors rear porch lights up. every now and then i still turn on / off wrong light. since i rarely use the switch.

Thanks for the info, I thought about looking at the manual but was just asking if you guys knew how to do it , I was not lost yet so I did not have to look at the map
