afternoon.
figured i'd post an action shot of my dk55 (well, sort of an action shot!); i'm using a wallenstein 3pt log splitter. posted some observations in the attachment forum, to summarize:
- after 16 hours, very pleased with the unit. easy to attach, cycle times are equivalent to the timberwolf tow-behind i've used in the past.
i've got a question about the cycle times - what RPM should i be running at? i'm typically running the tractor @ 1,000 RPM when splitting.. the cycle times improve at a higher RPM - i'm assuming that the engine speed dictates the speed of the hydo pump.. is there any other way to adjust the hydro pump OTHER than engine RPM?
thanks to those who helped last week with my questions about raising the 3pt hitch!
