Just a thought? If you go to the SEARCH section at the top of this page and type in Log Splitters, you will discover many posts and threads regarding log splitters. BTW, Welcome aboard. Best wishes.

I have a Troy Built 27 ton LOG splitter and love it! It has a very quiet 5.5 hp Honda motor on it and is pretty fuel efficient too. I have yet to find a round of wood it wouldn't split.

What he said!- we split 15+ cord of twisted apple, oak, ash, locust, and maple without a hitch.

It's relatively quiet and sparing of fuel too,

The ability to release a pin and change to a vertical orientation for the really big rounds was very helpful.

TSC has good splitters. They're made by Speeco....the one they have that competes with the Troy Built is a 28 ton, its got a 190cc Honda, but its 300 dollars more. I have the 35 ton from TSC-- or rather, my neighbor does (borrow his) and it's AWESOME. I've split stuff that no splitter should have to face with that thing.
