I've seen at the top of this site many times extensions that clamp onto FEL bucket for lifting loads including logs. Are any of them sturdy enough to use to "persuade" partially buried rocks to pop out of ground. I don't have a BH and have plenty of partially covered rocks that we have been digging out by hand. Thought those forks might help!!

I think the forks would put a lot of additional stress on your bucket digging up stumps.. A better method would be a tooth bar where the force is closer to the bucket.

I have used clamp on loader forks for years... I can tell you they will bend your bucket out of shape....

That said... I wouldn't think of living without forks...

Do you think light prying to expose partially buried rocks would be feasible??

Yes,
I've done it... That and small stumps.

If your trying to pry up beachball sized ricks you'll have no problem...

Since I've recently read that these forks can deform the bucket, would extra support like steel plate or barstock help with that in some way??

Next question is what supplier is most cost effective. I've seen them advertised on this site.

Flintlock - I'd go with a toothbar if you don't have one, especially for digging.

With a toothbar, the rocks will also slide into the bucket easier once you have them popped out of the ground, unless you have someone to manually load them in the bucket.

Flintlock,
I've been thinking about building up the bottom of my bucket.

I'd have to get it back very close in-shape before doing so... It isn't far off but it is out of shape. Even the cutting edge is bent.

The real answer may be goin got a quick attach bucket and fork system.

Regards,
Chris

I think a toothbar if definitely the best option. Even a bucket without a toothbar should pop those rocks out fairly easily.
