I purchased a new tractor this past February for use on my 60 acres pasture/farm. I went in looking for something like a hydrostatic 3000 series John Deere to use for moving round bales around the field and occasionally mowing, thankfully the sales guy at Ag Power told me he had a deal running on the 5045E geared tractor which would cost me the same with a loader, fork, and bucket and I'm really glad I listened to him because looking back I would have been miserable with anything less.
I got a Rhino 260 rotary cutter from a friend of a friend a few months later for a grand which I thought was a pretty good deal even though the blades were worn to nubs.
Right now I'm doing research on a few other implements I'd like to have for general land management and in the coming months I'm hoping to tap into even more of the knowledge this community has.
I've spent hours reading reviews and discussions on every kind of topic that comes to mind on use and maintenance of tractors on this forum since before I purchased one and I figured it was about time to join.
