Tractor
Kubota B7800
History: I've been a TBN member since 2001 and started out with a 2001
TC45D. After a few years I down sized to a 2004 B7800 with FEL and attachments. BTW - the B7800 is a fantastic tractor and even a better value.

Now that I'm semi-retire I've been doing contract work, I find my trustworthy B7800 short on HP for the implements I want to carry (lift) and operate. That said, it would be great to have a QA loader (with higher capacity) and a cab. The winters are getting to me as I get older.

My dealer is quoting me a $32,000 for a NEW 2007 5240HSTC with LA854QA HD bucket, 2 rear remotes, cab, rear work lights, turf tires and stereo ready. It does not have the 3rd function on the loader valve.

Implements I want to run:
Harley rake
Over-seeder
Seeder
Brush Hog
FEL root grapple

Questions: Is the price he's asking fair? Can I, realistically, use 72" implements or will I be pushed into 84 inch? Any other suggestions or recommendation would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

John

I think the price is fair. But, try and get the factory 3rd function valve for just the cost differential. Now is the best time to do it and probably the lowest cost.

The price is fair, but see if they will include the 3rd function front valve for the same price.
72" implements will be nothing for the tractor to handle (I run an 84" Woods finish cutter on my L3940). I would go with 84" on everything.
