Jerry, I measured the forks....... 48"

from albmn10....From your lawn shots the turfs seem like they do very well..

I've had no problem with keeping the grass green & the lawn rut free. I really haven't noticed any difference in the lawn from when I had a Ford 1220 (predecessor of the New Holland TC18/21) and the CK30. The Ford 1220 was about half the weight of the CK30. When the yard was overly wet I did not go on it with the 1220 and I don't go on it when it's overly wet with the CK30. I mow with a riding mower pulling a trac vac/lawn vac and have picked up my grass clippings all summer. I have a seperate compost pile for grass clippings. The grass clippings breakdown relatively fast and I use the dirt for reseeding areas of the lawn.

Not in the least! Anticipation has been building for a while. I've been sitting on my hands /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif in the back of the room waiting to get pictures so I could share my work. The TBN braintrust has been so good with sharing projects.....I feel good about being able to give a few tidbits back. You know what they say: Pictures are worth a 1000 words (1500 on TBN /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif )

Great post Don! I do have one question though, did you buy the tractor, or did you make that too? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I wish I had your talent.(or at least your welder) /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

That looks like an old Myers sprayer. I have one and needed parts and they're still available. Myers sold sprayer manufacturing to:

Fred's Water Service
2638 Townline Road
Madison, OH 44057
Ph: 440-259-5436

You might want to keep this info somewhere just in case you need parts or advice someday. Nice Tractor!

Well.... I sure wish I had the capability of building the tractor. All in all, the CK30 /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif was the best value for the dollar in a 'ready' built tractor /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif from my 'shoppintractors' experience.

I'm am so very fortunate. One of my best 'buds' and neighbor of nearly twenty years does my welding. We commiserate on design, I'll cut all the pieces and my 'bud' will weld them together.

Greg, I like that. I just might have to work that into a signature line.

Darryl,

Welcome to TBN! .......and thanks for posting this info. I've been looking for a parts source. I just looked up a pump diagram Myers faxed to me in 1994. I didn't realize I've had this sprayer for 11 years. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I put new bearings on the connecting rods recently. Fortunately they were a standard size and easy to find. Fabricated a new spring with an 'off the shelf' spring for the impeller that turns inside the tank. It took some convincing to get the spring to do what I needed it to do.....it's working now. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Once again, Thanks for the info and welcome to TBN.

Don
