Kubota B-2650
Looking at a 2008 B7800 with:
131 hours
R4 tires
FEL
Pat's easy hitch
3ph quick adjusters (in place of the stock threaded adjusters)
garaged
used for 3ph garden attachments-tiller, brush hog, plow, cultivator and seeder
bucket-like new, rarely used
Paint is in nice shape.

SERVICE:
Engine oil and filter may have been changed twice?

Hydro fluid service done at around 50 hours by owner. During this service the larger hydro filter was not changed
and the suction screen was not cleaned.

Questions:
-Should the hydro system be drained now to be able to install the hydro filter and do the suction screen service?

-The tachometer seems to work correctly up to 2500 rpm's when it stay at the 2500 rpm reading even when the rpm's are increased.
Not sure what this may reqire to correct?

Price:
-Nice condition, low hours...what would be a fair price to pay for this tractor?

Here are B7800 specs: TractorData.com Kubota B78 tractor information

Here is a B7800 for sale on eBay. I have no idea of the value of the paired trailer. B78 in Industrial Tractors | eBay

Here is a thread on L2800, a fairly comparable model. I suggested a fair price would be $9,500.

Maybe $8,000 to $9,000 for the B7800?

Determine if it has manual or power steering.

Here is more pricing data: Google

For reference I just sold my 2002 B7500 (21hp), 390 hours, with FEL and mmm, for $10,600. It was garage kept in excellent condition. The buyer already owned a larger Kubota and told me (after the sale) "I didn't dicker because given the condition and hours you had it price very fair." IMO $10K would be a steal for that 2008 B7800 with FEL.

Owner is asking $13k. In addition I would have the complete servicing expenses, the tach repair, plus any unknowns???

Yes, If you can get it for under $10K and Change the filter, Clean the screen. I put those hours on in 6 months or less.

Tough call. On one hand you'll have to pay double that for a B3350 (new but same power with some upgrades) and you'd have the DPF to deal with. Even $12-$13K might not be a bad price for that low hour pre-emmission B7800 if it's in pristine condition.
