Looking at buying a TC-29D

Hi guys I am looking at a TC 29 D w < 220 hrs 2nd owner that has a 7308 FEL and a rear mounted snow blower (N.H.), Hydrostatic. owner not sure of the year but guesses 2001 or so, primaily used for private snow removal, very little FEL use, no HD bucket, no super steer or sensitract. Planning on using it for snow removal and land scaping, price 11 K. I have been looking for 2 years and this seems like a winner. The tractor is supposed to be in excellent shape (no blow by etc.) I will check the battery box condition, loader bleed off, tires (industrial) should be in great shape. Any need to run an oil spec on the engine ? Also should I call New Holland to verify the year before we finalize the price ( the price seems good enough that the year may not matter much but the unit may have been stored outside covered (tarp ?) Seems like a good first tractor at a reasoable price, any feed back regarding price and what to look for would be great, I have read lots of post but not recently, thank you, looking at the unit tomorrow night, regards. P.s. whats a good price on a trailer ( dual w/ electric breaks?)

Welcome to TBN ! I would check the adjustible steering wheel and seat for "adjustibility" as it might have been kept outside; transmission (It may not shift too easily especially the differential lock.), hydraulics, lines, and couplings; electrical switches; all fluid levels; and try to find out service/maintenance schedule. I like the price and I like the tractor (but I am biased). Jay

Thanks for the comments Jay, the unit is in an arid enviroment so I hope things work as they should. My guess is the unit is 5 years old, going to check Serrial #'s.

I have a 2002 TC29D that has been very reliable. I have not had the steering wheel issues or any other issues as of yet. I have almost 500 hours on mine.
