Hi. It is my first post, I figured I'd post here under the buying section instead of the Lawn and Garden Tractors - that forum doesn't get much traffic for such short notice.

G1900, 42" two stage blower, 60" mower thats only 2yrs old, weights and chains. 1600hrs. Has recent dealership stickers other than the one that is selling, it is believed to be maintained. It was a school system that traded in a bunch of equipment to a non-Kubota dealer.

1,600hrs for $3,700. I talked them down today to $3,300 cash over the phone and have not seen the tractor in person. Going there tomorrow. What do you all think? Anything I should look for? Thanks in advance.

I have one with about 1200 hours. The one problem I had to fix involved the main drive shaft (from engine to hydo transmission). The sealed bearings had failed and the drive shaft starting wobbling so badly that it was striking the floor pan. I had to replace it, cost about $220 parts.

Get under the machine and see how much play the drive shaft has. It should have some, as it consists of 2 U-joints, but the play should be restrained by the packed, sealed bearings. If it seems loose, you will face a shaft replacement in the near future.

Thanks for the reply. I've seen you post this before. With that many hours I should be coming up on my second set of U-joints. Hopefully its been done.
