Looking at Kubota ZD 1211 Side Discharge - need opinions

Thanks for the replies. I have made the decision to go with the Grasshopper as it fits my needs the best, and the trade in on the old one will help on the price. I already have a mid mount deck on the Gravely and need a front mount deck.

I think that's a wise choice. Grasshoppers are built like tanks (just like Kubotas are), and it would be really hard to go back to a mid-mount after having a front-mount. My 729BT has spoiled me, but I'd love to have the 725D.

Oh, and I think the Kubota salesman was blowing smoke about the deck not needing to be cleaned. All of them need it, especially when you have to mow crabgrass and/or weeds.

I am going to keep the Grasshopper in the Kubota family. I am getting the 725D with the Kubota diesel!
