CK2610 HST W/Cab
Going Monday a.m. to a local dealer to inquire about the purchase of a CK2610. I am new to the site so forgive my ignorance as the only tractors I had any kind of experience was old AC WD's and Ford 8 and 9N's. I have been visiting the site for sometime and the amount of info can be a bit intimidating when it comes to my knowledge. But that being said I began by looking for used tractors but the prices were close to buying a new CK2610 as this is the size I was looking for what I want to use it for. The other thing was that there is a Kioti dealer about 30 miles from me. Other dealers Deere, Kubota, Mahindra are 60 to 100 miles.
Work with this tractor would consist mostly of maint. of the 40 acres I own. Mowing, a bit of logging, gardening, a few food plots, leveling, hauling rock etc. and of course snow removal as I live in Da U.P. of Michigan. Am not looking at a snow thrower. Have you ever used your loader bucket as a plow? Last but not least are there some options I would need or recommended that should be added. Looking at a box scraper and bush hog. Thanks a bunch for advice and help!

I'm not sure it will have enough horsepower for what you want to do.
I have one, just took delivery this week. I replaced a John Deere 850 compact utility that I bought new in 1989.
It appears to be well built, heavier than e Deere and will lift more, faster on the loader.
I wish I got the cruise control, and rear work light. I did order the agricultural R-1 tires and they are working well loaded with WW fluid.
Befor the Deere I had a case vac. This Kioti handles like a dream.

I have 85 hrs on my CK2610 gear. It's been great and does everything I ask of it. It sounds a bit small (frame size) for 40 acres. As far as logging I am not sure it would handle a winch pulling logs that well. I like the fact that the engine has no emissions equipment except the intake air grid heater that can be disconnected easily with no repercussions.

Powerwise it can be turned up to 33 HP with no issues except more fuel consumption. My only complaint is the gear version is only syncronized in second and reverse; not 1st and 3rd.

Get 2 rear remotes, 1 detent, and the other plain.

The tractor works quite well with a box scraper and a tilt cylinder to adjust the top link on the fly.

The loader works well and has qwik attach bucket so other implements are a breeze to change out.
Get the rubber mat it saves the floor from scuffs. The block heater is dealer installed option and runs $100 plus labor to install.

It starts well down in the 20s, I have not installed the block heater yet.

I regularly mow 19 degrees banks, side hills with no tipping with a 6 foot rear finish mower. It handles a 6 foot rear tiller with no issues, even before I turned up the fuel.

8 inch Woodmaxx chipper no problem either.

I have turf tires and not loaded.

There is a cab version on the way soon.

Good luck, Fred

Well today I went and purchased it. CK2610 with Cab, Woods Box Scraper and Brush Hog. I did forget the mat and block heater. Will call him tomorrow. What a pleasure to deal with too. Got the tractor w/cab and he gave the scraper and hog, delivered. I paid cash so imagine it helped. Been waiting and saving a long time for this.

Cab might make the machine top heavy for side hills but the rear wheel spacer kit from an earlier model is a direct bolt on according to my dealer.

Regards, Fred

Fred, I did consider that when I pulled the trigger yesterday and purchased the 2610. But after working outside the last 40 years before retiring and living here in the high country of western U.P. of Michigan, winters bring a bit of snow and cold so opted for the heated cab. I don't have any hills on my 40 here that would be of real concern. Thanks for your input!
