sure, does a fabulous job. Does a great job of roughing up any exposed soil and flattens and smashes existing turf enough to open it up for seed without really hurting it.
The Super rennovator (S,tr) also has easily adjusted front rollers. You can position them at angles (crabbing) to the rear roller, that gives maximum tearing of existing turf. Run it parallel to the rear for maximum smoothing of bare soils.
On about 1/2 the yards I install, it's all I use. Does a pretty fair job of smoothing, though I still need the box blade.
Does a FABULOUS job of making bare soil look great and ready to accept seed.
Outrageously expensive, but very good. Seeding is the BEST. Front roller preps, rear roller covers the seed. Fast. Even. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
