I'm sorry if there is a thread that addresses this. I did a search and looked but there is a huge number of grapple related threads.
I would like to build a grapple. One with curved upper AND lower tines or claws. So that when the loader is tilted forward, it resembles a claw grabbing something.
We had softwood logging done and there are these huge piles of slash. I have tried to pick them up with my pallet fork with attached bale grapple, but the ground is just too uneven to drive into the pile. You need to grap it from the top.
I have the resources to get the material cut and welded. My welding isn't good enough! But I am planning on using rather expensive A400, 1" material for the tines and I want to get this thing right the first time!
Can anyone sell me drawings that can be used on a laser or point me in the right direction? I spoke with one manufacturer and asked if I could buy their grapple unassembled, just the parts, which they naturally declined!
