Mathteacher, what does you manual say?? John

Actually, the manual says to use a 4 foot cutter. And since I have posted I have done some research with local dealers. Most say it isn't the HP of tractor that is holding it down. It is the weight of the tractor vs. the size/weight of the cutter. The JD dealer even said that the 4115 which compares to the B7610 would be hard pressed to use a 5 footer because of the weight and the extra foot out back. I have a dealer down here that can get me a cutter. He called it a "Texas Red" I believe. Haven't found out any information on it.

As a couple of dealers have posted here, the Kubotas are now weighed with the tires and rims included. John

Sorry to bring this back up, I was away for the weekend and didn't have access to a computer. The weight issue makes sense. We all know the B7610 is a light tractor. (That is a plus for me because I mow my lawn with it.) I thought it would have plenty of power to use a 5ft brush mower since I have used mine to help a friend mow his field. I used his a 6ft pull type brush mower. (His old tractor wouldn't start.) The field hadn't been mowed for a couple years so it was tough stuff. The tractor seemed to have enough power. Of course I went slow and only mowed a couple of acres. Weight wasn't a factor because it was a pull type and supported its own weight. The ground was also fairly flat. I wouldn't use that big of a brush mower with my tractor normally, but that is what he had and I don't have a brush mower. Now my real question. Those of you who have are using a 5ft brush mower with a B7610/2410 do you have problems handling the weight of the mower? Do you use it on flat or hilly ground? Are you like Henro and wish you had gone with the 4 ft brush mower?

I don't know what part of Texas you're in or if you found what you're looking for, but I recently bought a 4' king kutter from TSC and within 2 weeks realized that what I really needed was a finish mower. I bought a used finish mower and now don't need the brush cutter. Its basically brand new and I could save you some $ over new. If you're interested, shoot me an email.
