Background -
Have a small (1300 sq ft) rental house on a half acre in an older neighborhood just south of Washington, DC. My son and his wife are having a baby and moving into it (just pay the taxes kid). We'd like to put a garage/workshop up. About half of the houses in the immediate neighborhood have "outbuildings" the size of a 1 car garage or larger. We would like to put up a garage about 15x30 on a concrete pad.
Due to his working and me trying to get my retirement home in Mississippi ready I realize it's to big a job to handle by myself from the ground up. So we have been looking at some "kits" such as one finds at Home Depot, alansfactoryoutlet.com, etc. One of my prime motives is to get a place I can park my B7610 when I take it over to clear up the back of the lot, which is basically an overgrown briar patch. I think his motive is to have a workshop to go to when the baby starts crying. But it will also greatly add to the value of the property.
I'm planning on a proper concrete slab, electricity run by an electrician etc.
I'm sure between myself, him, my other 24 yr old son, and friends we can easily put up a kit. Right now I'm thinking about something near the size of 15x30 and 2 story.
So I'm looking for pointers to kits from the TBN borg.
