The title pretty much says it all. I just think that a nice tractor should have a nice wheel. It certainly deserves something better than the cheap plastic factory steering wheel.

Anybody know where I might find one?

I was thinking the same thing. I have a really cool Stainless one on my boat with a built in knob (Can't call then what we used to call them). The only question is what is the spline size and can you get one that size?

That is what I'm talking about. Something better than that cheap thing that John Deere puts in. Maybe a nice wood rim or leather wrapped wheel. Heck, this is the thing that you look at and handle every time you use the tractor.

I think necker's knob is the term you were looking for. At least that is what I used to hear them called.

I have an open cab so weather resistance is a must. That's why I was thinking Stainless. With a cab the possibilities are endless. Grant makes adapters for their custom wheels that fit every car ever made. Heck, I even have one on my golf cart. The trick is going to be to find out what size your steering shaft is and then find a place to buy the adapters by size (Grant's web site for a part number and then ebay to find a wheel that makes you smile.)

Lots of choices here and several other manufacturers as well.

Thanks, I think I might call Grant and see what they have to offer.
