Guys,

I would REALLY like to build a quick and easy PHD stand for this one that I've borrowed from my neighbor.

It is a @#$% to connect when it is just laying on the ground.

I've got lots of scrap lumber, anyone got a simple set of plans or general idea they can share so I could whip one out before I return this PHD?

Thanks in advance & MERRY CHRISTMAS!

David

Greg,

You are right shipmate. As I posted the thread I thought "maybe I should have searched first"... Thanks for the link, I'm off to read it now...

Seems I'm a "post first, think later kind of guy". :D

Be well,

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Made one from 2x4's and some plywood. Stands up about 6' tall , 3' wide , 3' deep, made like a pyrmid . Lower down phd as backing between legs , stop and lift to max height . Get off tractor and slide 2x4 through top and lower phd down . Then unhook pto drive shaft , lift arms , and then center link / end of phd . Should drop or come up a little depending on how it sets on 2x4 . Made two for friends , one for befco phd , one for landpride phd. Will try to get a pic. or two later today. Steven.

I do the same! Add an old tarp and a bungee cord and you have it all protection, storage and best of all cheap and easy.

Greg, Like your stand. May try that with wheels so I can push it around the barn.

Same here - 2x6" nailed between two trees, about 2 foot of chain and a quick (screw) link. Back under the board, lift PHD to max height, loop the chain through the loop on top of the PHD then over the board, hook the two ends together with the screw link, unhook from 3pt, trap it for protection, DONE. Takes me maybe 3-4 minutes at the most. Plus about it was cheap....
Good luck

I have a TPH carryall, so I didn't bother with wheels. Instead I used a pallet for the base, so that I can pick the whole thing up and move it around - sorta forklift style.
