You can guess by my "name" what I've all but decided I'm buying.
I'm in Erie PA, and am upgrading from a Simplicity Prestige 4x4. I really wish I'd bit the bullet and bought the SCUT when I got that. Of course personal finances weren't as favorable to me then as they are now.
I sold an Allis Chalmers 920D (Lombardini diesel) when I got the Simplicity, and missed the diesel ever since, MUCH better fuel economy and power.
I'm also switching from a snowblower to a FEL, and will probably "engineer" a snow blade for it, using an old pickup truck blade.
I already know about switching the lights to inside the ROPS, to prevent damage, and am still reading other tips from all the fine folks on here.
I grew up on a small family farm using a Farmall Super A, was always into mechanical stuff, and did a bit of stock car racing, including 5 years with a Nascar license, racing locally in the Weekly Series in the pickup truck class. What a blast that was!
Worked as a mechanic for a couple years, and still do most of my own work, but decided operating them them was easier, and paid better, plus you stay clean!
I put a Cummins 4BTA in a 1981 Dodge Ram 2wd pickup, now that's a whole lot of fun! I actually did it, didn't pay someone else to do it!
I did a few years in a gravel pit operating the BIG equipment.
I'm now a linehaul truck driver for FedEx Ground, but don't blame me if your packages are late, damaged, or missing (unless it's something really cool
) all I do is drag the trailers from point A to point B. Actually, the trailers are sealed and I don't even know what's in them.
Anyways, I'm looking at a GC1705 MF, which I really like. I've looked at the JD 1023E, & Kubota, but overall I like the MF best.
And I like taking long........hey wait, wrong forum!
How long are these intro's supposed to be?
I do have a sense of humor. even though some other people don't get it, I always crack myself up!
NRA proud!
