So my old B8200 needs a new adjustable side link. Sounds like an easy thing, but no one has one. I've even called the local Kubota shop and they're having a **** of a time putting something together.

Of course they could order up the OEM Kubota parts, but it comes in the individual pieces and cost a pretty penny. I just can't believe it could be that hard to find an aftermarket part!

Where do y'all go looking?

G'day check out the bare co or sparex websites may not be specific to kubota but they may have something that you can fit

Check Ebay using Yanmar as a search. They have aftermarket versions in sets and you can find a dealer that would sell you just one. Fredricks Tractor or Hoye also might have something.

Sounds like a good excuse to put on a hydraulic tilt.

Aftermarket is proving difficult. I broke down and ordered OEM from the dealer.

And I mentioned going hydraulic to the household CFO. She loves me but that got me a cold stare.

IMHO.. any adjustable link that you could cut and weld to fit your machine would work.

BTDT on my yanmar 1700 with a part from tractor supply nad some weldable bushings and eyelets.

Ya, I did think of that, but I'm just getting up to par with welding. Still need a better welder and a lot of practice.

sounds like you had the 'practice' right there in your hands!

soundguy.

As far as better welder? I fixed a sidelink on a ford 2n .. cut off an old threaded portion of the rod, welded in a section of all thread, and then cut the yoke and welded a long couplinh nut to the old yoke, ground to contoure so it looked ok. I used a campbel hausfeld ( walmart ) 70a stick welder and 1/16 and 5/64 rods, and a 15$ harbor freight angle grinder.. took my time.. repair is still holding 6ys later...
