Posthole Digger Looking for a used post hole digger attachment, advice?

Hey guys it is time to add another toy to my implement list but I would prefer not to buy this one new if I can get a good deal on a used one. I would like to find a post hole digger for my Kubota L2800. I have about 8 acres to fence in and I am constantly planting trees. Is there a good place to look for used equipment? Any brand\model recommendations? What should I expect to pay? I live in Clover SC which is near Charlotte NC if anyone know somebody local to me.

Sorry but you have to go with a new one on this. PHD have a great ability to find rocks which can hit the gearing hard so you never know the condition of the gear box. Its a great tool and you wont regret laying out those extra bucks. Makes a great Xmas present for the significant other.

Farm auctions would be a place to look- although sometimes people overbid when the adenaline is flowing.

I think you could find a worn but usable PHD/auger for $150-$200. Maybe as cheap as $50-100 if it has a leaking lower seal (you can just fill it with grease). For $50 you might also have to replace the ujoints on the PTO shaft.

Around here we have a free local "buy,sell,trade" newspaper that comes out once a week. People can put a wanted ad in it for free and I have bought several old implements that way. I got an old rusty 3 point 6ft bushhog for $100 (PTO shaft not included) and a ground driven side delivery hay rake on steel wheels for $50 (it reverses and I use it for a tedder). They look like junk but they work fine.

I bought a used one and while I am happy with it, I could have got a brand new one from TSC for the same money. TSC was out of stock for 2 weeks, I found the used one bought it right away. 2 hours later I stop by TSC and they have new style units in stock for around the same price,
