I want the following features:

1. Choose forward or reverse with the flip of a lever. Not interested in disassembling the machine every time I want to go from forward rotation to counter rotation.

2. Multiple speed gear box to better match tiller to ground speed. (The low speed on my tractor is not a creeper gear.)

Any recommendations.

The tines are designed to either till in fwd or rev rotation, not both, so simply reversing rotation won't give you optimum operation in both direction. If you're just looking to untangle roots from the spool, then that may be doable with a hydraulic motor driven unit. I would think a remote valve could be found to allow you to trim speed/hydraulic flow and a second to provide fwd/rev rotation from the operator's station. I think you'd need to run it off of a PTO driven pump to get the flow you'd need to get good operability in a tiller wide enough to cover your wheel tracks, as I don't think most ag tractors make that kind of flow off their BOM pump. Sounds $pendy, but could be an interesting BIY project.

Not going to be found as mentioned by Baby Grand.

If you want a serious tiller you should examine a BCS or Grillo Two wheel tractor with a BCS rotary plow.

In one pass you can till up to 14 inches deep (depending on tire size and wheel spacing)

The seed bed will be ready to plant, you will also be able to build raised beds in one pass also.

Please look at the two wheel tractor page here on the forum for more information.
