Over the weekend I broke my backhoe pretty good unfortunately ! The subframe cracked in the same spot on each side and the control box pulled off the frame near the swing cylinder and popped off the swing cylinder pivot. Of course I had just dug our a stump and was praising my little tractor. It is a farmpro 2425 . I am not a Welder but a friend of mine is a great fabricator and is confident we can fix it. I just wanted to see if I could find some pictures of what others have done and it seems the photos from Old threads aren’t there anymore. Also looking for any information regarding adding a filter to the return line and doing away with the banjo bolt on the return line. Thank you RenderedImage.jpg

Learning how to operate a backhoe correctly can be a very expensive and time consuming endeavour. Take your time and learn the limitations of the machine.
Why do you want to eliminate the banjo bolt?

Hi bob, yes I think I had a false sense as the little machine had handled all my digging tasks but the stump and root pulling was maybe too aggressive.

My understanding is the banjo on the return line creates unnecessary pressure of fluid returning to the tank cause it to foam and introduce air.

Nope. In fact the return filter will have more back pressure than the banjo fitting. This is what I installed on my LW-6 hoe. Never had issues with oil foaming or overheating. I recommend a filter change gauge.

Bob thanks for the reply that is a nice setup. I had actually been reading about your filter with the gauges for temp and pressure. Is this all inline on the return before the fluid re enters the tank? -kyle

And fwiw, I think your tractor is too light for stump work.

Yes. All in the return line. 3/4" pipe and fittings work fine. There was an adapter fitting that came with the hoe to change from metric to SAE. You might have to improvise.

I agree with the comment about the stump work. Happen to have a source for the pressure gauge ? Thanks again
