Loader Looking for Prince Hyd p/n for DK40 / FELKL1470

I'm having trouble with the bucket curl on my DK40 / KL1470 and am nearly certain the issue is with the Prince Hydraulics valve.

History: I was using the FEL to move some large rocks and the bucket up curl stopped working.

Details:
1) I also have noticed that slowly moving the curl controller through its range to curl up there is a spot where the bucket actually curls downward instead of upward. Then, moving farther through the range of the controller the bucket starts to curl up again.

2) The curl action has always been a bit sticky. It would keep curling even after letting go of the joy stick.

3) The curl hydraulics have always drooped rather quickly. They don't hold for long at all then slowly droop.

4) I bought the tractor at 330 hours and now have 530 hours.

5) All the other hydraulic controls of the FEL seem fine.

I had a local tractor company take the spool valve apart and they didn't see anything obviously wrong with it.

So, I think I may need to replace the controller but Kioti wants $1,064 for it. So I am hoping Prince will sell it at a better price but I need the part number.

Does anyone happen to know the part number for the Kioti FEL valve p/n 0580-6001?

It appears that the Cub Cadet KD-0580-6001 is the same item.

Are you certain the cables are OK, including the ball ends at the base of the joystick and the connection to the hydro valve? I have read about several problems at these cable ends but I don't recall reading about any problems with the actual valve, especially a sudden failure.

Also, recheck the quick couplers. Physically disconnect and reconnect each one (at least for the curl hoses). It is very common for one of these to get popped out but look OK visuallu.

Thanks for the input! My joystick uses ball ends and they are in good shape and installed solidly. I have removed the entire valve so I have re-coupled all the hoses.

Thanks again. I'm taking it to a Kioti dealer today. Should be interesting to learn the issue.

OK. But just to be clear, I mean the quick couplers where the loader hoses plug into the tractor hydraulics. Several on this list have been driven nuts chasing a hydraulic problem that turned out to be a quick coupler that was "tripped" by brush. The coupler appeared to be connected but wasn't fully seated.

The final resolution on this problem turned out to be replacing the entire FEL controller valve. It was warped which is why the curl action had been sticky. When I put a huge load on that function, the controller valve warp may have worsened which caused a leak internal to the valve. So it still operated, but it was letting too much power go by.

With the valve disassembled, rotating the curl spool showed a spot where it didn't want to keep rotating, clearly indicating that either the spool valve was bent or the casting was warped.

With the replacement everything is working fine now.
