As I have mentioned before I have a 58" CCM tiller that is very rugged and both price and quality wise beat all other competition. CCM is fairly close to you so I would suggest given them a call. Both before I bought and after was nothing but a pleasant experience to do business with.

I have a CCM M-160 tiller. I agree with Jim. Jay

Another thought to consider. Add a quick mount hitch and that will move your implements back another 6" or so.

My Yamar tiller has an adjmt for how close the tiller comes to hitting the tires but with the addition of the QMH it isn't an issue any longer.

Just food for thought.

I bought a 72 inch KK II {all GEAR} tiller at TSC just 5 days ago, $1299 plus sales tax, supposedly reduced from $1599.
EDIT; Included PTO shaft with slip clutch ;END EDIT.
It tears up sod remarkably well, the only "problems" I am having are with the wretched HF quick hitch that I am trying to make fit. Right now hitching up is anything but quick and certainly not easy. Part of my desire to use this is that initially I didn't want to cut the PTO shaft, but it is coming to the point where I might as well, it is simple enough.

Anyway, I have it on a Century C42, same/similar as Branson 38, just slightly more horse power. My R4 (17.5Lx24) tires are loaded with rimguard, maybe 1,000 or 1,100 extra lbs there. So far I have only run it on the 1,000 RPM PTO gear, with the engine at about 1300/1400 RPM. In first gear the tiller pushes the tractor a bit, which is what made me realize that it is forward rotating.
I doubt that I will need the power of the 540 PTO gear and higher engine speed, as I get used to it I will try higher tractor speed gears.

It is SMOOTH ! due to the offset of each of the 9 sets of 6 tines, they hit into the ground in a staggered pattern.
Visit their web site and look up the parts manual to see how this is done.
They also have a 4 ft and a 5ft version, but I wanted to cover the full width of my tires and they didn't have the 5ft one in stock anyway.

i'll check that tiller out on line..my mitsubishi tiller ran good at 1000 rpms.I had a problem with the drive shaft popping off. I added some length to it and made adjustments to my top hitch so that the tiller would not hit my tires when backing up.I also had to center it adjusting my turnbuckles for no play in order to keep the drive shaft from popping off when I hit hard dirt.Otherwise it worked great. Just time for upgrade.
