I have an early nineties 2510 Long 2W Dr tractor that was made in Romania. The hydraulic cylinder on my front end loader is leaking/spraying out fluid. I've been trying to locate a seal kit for it, but not having much luck. Does anyone know where I might find a kit or parts to repair this? I've been searching for Long parts, but if there is another tractor type's seal kit that would also fit this tractor, that would be fine to. I just want to get the leaking stopped. Also did Mahindra buy out Long/Farmtrac? I haven't had this tractor very long, so not sure who carries parts for the Longs now. Thanks for any suggestions or advice.

Just a suggestion. Have you tried taking the cylinder to a local hydraulics shop and see if they have the sizes you need. You have to really watch buying parts for the Long tractors on line. I have a couple and have seen as much as $225 difference on pricing for the same part.

Ran into a problem recently trying to get an o-ring. Had to order online because I could not find the size. Just a part number. And then you have to pay shipping. Sometimes as much as $12.00 just to get an o-ring mailed to you. Have did numerous searches for parts and never remember seeing anything about loader parts.

I think it would be safe to say that this loader was not from the same factory that produced the tractor. And from what research I have done Mahindra did not buy out Long. They were purchased by another company from India. Did know the name but it escapes me now. If you do a search on Universal Tractor they made most of the Long tractors until they became Farmtrac. I think the factory has shut down now.

Thanks very much LuvMexFood! I will definitely start paying more attention to the prices and shopping around now. I did not even think about a local hydraulics shop, so that's a great idea. I'll check to see if I can find someone local in my area. Haven't had this tractor for very long, but so far I'm liking the power and was enjoying the FEL until the hydraulic fluid drip started becoming more of a river. I've been used to driving the smaller farm tractors. This one has plenty of get up and go about it. Thanks again for your suggestions and info. Really helps!
