T234
I am looking at the TYM tractors and I am torn. I am looking at the TYM T254 and the TYM T234. Both are solid looking and seem to be solid built little tractors. I was wondering if there is and true PROS and CONS from real life owners.

If there is a better option in the price range and 25hp size of theses, the input would be greatly considered. I looked at the LS, Mahindra and the Kioti. Some of the package deals are enticing.

Oh first time poster. Long time lurker. so be easy...

Many of the smaller Mahindras, 2500 series and EMax are actually made by TYM. I think the engines are different but that's about it. The 1500 series machines are made by Mitsubishi and are a bit nicer but use the same Mahindra engines for most models.

The T254 uses the Yanmar and the T234 uses the Mitsubishi if I am not mistaken.

Gnab2, you are correct on the engine manufactures.
The tractor model numbers are a bit misleading because if you look at the specs the T234 is a little larger than the T254. If you can go to the TYM website the brochures are available so you can compare the two models.

I have looked at them. I think the best thing is to go do a sit on and ride to see what feels best. I am also looking at the ls xg3025 or the xj2025 also.

It is always the best idea to test drive any tractor before you buy it and to test drive several to help you decide what you really want.

Looked at several manufacturers, bought a Branson. No comparison in value for money in my opinion. Almost bought an LS as a close second.

Don't know squat about TYMs, but I've bought several new tractors (Kubota, Mahindra) and 7 vintage tractors in my time.

If you haven't done this already, think ahead 2 or 3 years and identify the jobs you want the do with your new tractor. Then figure out which implements you need to start with and what additional implements you'll need to buy a few years from now.

I'd recommend double rear hydraulic remotes, skid steer quick attach on the FEL bucket as well as chain hooks. Get the rear tires filled with whatever liquid will handle the low temperatures in central Texas. LED work lights are becoming more common on all sizes of tractors these days.

Good luck

I have looked ahead. I am getting my box blade, bush hog and a grapple bucket(possibly). The rest is not a problem.
