Looking for sub-compact sized straw crimper

Hi All,
Anybody out there know of a Mfg that makes a small 3 point straw crimper? All of the ones I've seen are in the 6 to 8 foot size range. I'm looking for one in the 4 to 5 foot range that I could use on either my JD2520 or my JD455 (with limited cat 1).

For those that don't know the straw crimper is a straight single row disk that sticks the straw mulch into the soil after grass seeding. I had most of the straw blow off a 3500sq ft pool fill-in job I just finished. Darned wind.

Lots of other 3 point attachments come in sub-compact size. Why not a straw crimper? Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to make one, except I don't know how to weld.
I gotta take a class. Any ideas appreciated.

When I was re-seeding some waterways and filter strips on my farm, I needed a straw crimper. There was no way ol' tightwad me was going to spend the bucks for a couple hours worth of use. So, what I did was to use a 3-point disc with the front gang set straight (all angle adjusted out), shorten the top link to the point it had the rear gang raised several inches above the ground. It was a compromise, but it worked well enough to get the job done. Maybe you have a small 3-point disc? If not, maybe borrow one, OR, this could be enough justification to buy one. Hope this help, from a fellow Hemi owner.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't have a disc and I think any of the common 2 row ones would be a little too much for my 455L&G tractor. However, I noticed a couple of small single row types on NorthernTools website that might work. I'll have to click over there take another look. I think being able to set the disc gangs straight (as you mentioned) is key. Otherwise, I'd be digging up all the seed.
