Rear Finish Mower Looking for the Better Rear Finish Mower

I currently have a Woods RD8400 I pull behind my L5740 and it cuts well. My only grip is the clumps of grass it leaves behind. Even when doing light cuts. I am looking for something new that will handle cut grass and lay it out more evenly.

Would you consider a large (eight foot) finish cut flail mower for your mowing?

Are you looking for new or a used mower?

I had a Landpride AFM4211 for several years. It did a fantastic job and dealt with clippings very nicely. I was just tired of maintaining all the moving parts and storing such a large mower. I get the impression that flail mowers would require a lot of maintenance but look like they take up less space than my Woods. 8' would not bother me, but does get a little long for uneven ground.

Flail mowers are not maintenance intensive as long as they
are maintained properly.
