Kubota BX2370
I'm excited that me and my dad are gonna be getting the FEL for our kubota bx2370 and I already know what I have/want to do with it. I have to move a pile of dirt for my neighbor, plow this winter, tear up my grandmas garden in the spring and tear up my other neighbors garden next spring as well. I was wondering about what kind of interesting stuff that I can do with the FEL because since it is the time of the year for picking up leave and hauling them away, some of our bags of leaves weigh 80# or more and they are hard to carry sometime. I figured that when we do get the FEL for the tractor I'm gonna throw the bags of leaves in the bucket and take some strain off of my back even though I'm only 16.

What to do with the BX/FEL will come to you as time goes on. Think of it as a wheelbarrow with a motor. But be careful and learn the dangers of lifting heavy objects. Rear ballast becomes a necessity for heavy stuff.
Cheers,

In addition to the lifting issue, be very aware that the FEL can cause stability problems on slopes. Always keep the FEL low when not on level ground!!

Know your weight limits of lifting with the FEL. I have a BX2200 and it is rated at only 400 lbs. So don't try to over due it.
Mine is used to move snow piles and sometimes snowplowing mostly.

I use mine as a wheelbarrow a lot. Anything to make life a little easier. But the most common use is moving/processing firewood, then dirt/gravel work. Once a week it's used to take our trash can to/from the curb. With a 700' driveway, that's a big help.

If you want to greatly expand the capability of a loader...consider a thumb grapple...and a tooth bar...
Be aware that the gross weight of your tractor is a big factor when scooping material with the bucket...loss of traction limits how far you can plow into denser material piles etc...

Good luck and have fun...

If you move lots of leaves, build a plywood bucket extension, then haul 3 times as many each trip.

I built one of these to increase the amount of cut to length wood I can haul and split wood for the wood bin....it works great!

A huge improvement to my FEL has been the addition of a Pirahna toothbar. The difference isn't just noticable, but incredible (IMHO.)

Take extream care with elevated loads, and be ULTRA AWARE that as you lift... the bucket (uncorrected) will roll "backwards." It'll spill its contents that will fall onto your nice, shiney hood.... AND PUT A BIG DENT IN IT!:mur:

Ask me how I know...

Keep that ROP up, and seatbelt fastened!

Enjoy your new tool (toy.):cool2:

I ordered the FEL for our BX2370 and it's on the trailer and ready to go to the dealer this afternoon!!! We are gonna go and pick it up tomorrow after school and I already have a line up of things to do with it once we get it back home!
