Looking for YM2000 or YM2010

I am considering the purchase of a Yanmar Grey Market tractor for mowing 3 acres and working around the yard and garden. From reading in the forum, models like the YM2000 or YM2010 seem to be great tractors that are dependable, simple to work on and have good parts availability. Also thinking about a front end loader for very light work around the house, we live in Central Florida where the earth is sand/dirt. Not knowing much about this kind of equipment I would like to ask a few questions. This is a great forum and reading through the first few pages of the Yanmar section has already been much help.
1. In Central Florida, where are the closest reputable dealers? I will consider nearby states if necessary.
2. I am considering going to an auction which is probably risky, any recommendations?
3. When checking out a tractor, what things should I look and listen for?

My 2 cents worth on auctions. You need to be very well informed and have experience with the equipment you are buying. It really isn't for a beginner. It is very difficult to find all the faults at an auction. I will try to put this as politically correct as I can, Not all ,but some importers send the units not good enough for there lot to auctions. Much like car dealers. If you know that going in, it might help your outlook when bidding. Please, don't take it the wrong way, you importers that don't do this. It isn't a bad thing, it is just how it works.

I live near you in East Central Florida - Melbourne. I purchased a YM2000 on Ebay 2 1/2 years ago. Maybe I can help you some with your decision.

There is a dealer on Hwy 301 in Hampton but maybe that is too far north for you.

Thanks everybody for the information. Sorry I have not replied for a while, my Mom has been in the hospital and things have been hectic. The good news is that my Mom is better and I have also purchased a tractor. It is a Yanmar YM2000 with a front end loader. A few minor thing need to be repaired but all in all it seems like a good machine. There is a lot of good information on this forum and I appreciate all the help. Thanks Gary
