I know of a few like you want. Five to six blocks deep. Ag Bag is really popular here. Less spoiled. Shipping containers should have plastic to protect against the juice or they will rust fast. Just remember to control the face as you feed out. Your feed out face is what should determine the size. Too big = excessive spoilage.

Not sure how high you want to go but I would think the bin blocks would work very well. I would put some type of tar or sealant on the inside edge before I set the next one on top.

Height - I would think you could go 12' high but I would put back fill angled away on the outside to 4' below the top of the blocks to keep them from pushing out or tipping.

Are you going to put an end wall in or just two sides?

As far as silage for cow/calf operations my nephews put about 500 acres of corn silage in the bunkers every year for their cow/calf operation. Of course they are feeding the calves until ready for slaughter but the cows get some too. They have been doing it that way for 40 years and is common for cow/calf operations in their area.
