Hello all, just retired and moved back home to Oologah, OK from Phoenix, AridZona. Put in my 20 with the fire department there and found 6 acres with trees and grass. Love it!
Been looking at everything around for something reliable to mow mostly level terrain except for the bar ditch.
Just tonight a 4x4 Kubota B5200 DT with mower, drag box grader, and a landscape trailer showed up. I'm thinking from the 3 reviews I found, it might be a decent buy??
The tractor description is as follows:
Kobota B5200 4X4 tractor, 900 hrs. Befco 4ft pull type finish mower. 4 ft box blade with scafire teeth. 6'X15' landscape type double axle trailer with fold down ramp. Box blade and mower are good. Tractor has some very minor body damage, and the lights do not work. The tractor starts and runs like it should and everything else works. All one price. $4000, make offer. Serious only, face to face deal only.
So far, my education on this model tells me to look out for the steering linkage issue, possible hydraulic seals or o-rings leaking. One reviewer commented his had 1,400 hours on it with no problems at all except for a hydraulic pump he had rebuilt.
I'm brand new here, my first post. I'm looking for knowledge as to what is a fair price. This tractor retailed at $8,300 or so when new back in 1983.
Are small yard tractors still holding their value at 50% of new?
Hope all had a good Christmas, and wish all a great New Year.
John
