Sold my 8N and attachments (to small) and have been looking at various brands(JD, Kubota, MF, CaseIH, FordNH). The Mahindra 3525 looks good on the surface + good price, and close dealer, but still open to suggestions. I maintain hunting trails and a couple of 1 & 2 acre food plots. Move rock for small fishing jetties. Brush removal, general brush hogging, and want to get a finish mower, blade, and disk. The FEL is a must, my back has gotten to slow and rebels a lot. Any one out there with 3525 experience? Any suggestions? Looked at the recent info on this site + reveiws any additions to this info will be appreciated. THANKS Ron

The 3525 seems to be just the machine for the work you plan to do. It would be a nice upgrade from you 8N.

Hey Just Tinkering,

Welcome to the site, I just bought a 3525 this month and have approximate. 13 hrs on it now and have been very pleased with it so far. I do not have a FEL on mine ...didn't have a real justification for one ...to convince my wife with anyway. I bought mine with a package setup to include a 5' Rhino shedder, 5' BB, and a 5' disk total excluding tax and insurance was $11,480 from Scott's Tractor in Gulfport Ms. I think based on my experience and other on this site a Mahindra would do you right. I compared JD, NH, Kubota, Kioti, and MF before buying the stated performance of the Mahindra sold me along with the overbuilt frame/castings and weight advantage. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sure thing Ron, I'll keep you informed if any problems crop up that's unusual. Have you priced any tractors yet? What kind of deals have the dealers offered you?

I bought a 3523 earlier this year with the FEL. It now has about 30 hours on it. I also pull a 6 ft bush hog. I have used it to disc up about 10 acres and also recently mowed those 10 acres. I have had no problems and it has been a very dependable machine. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Thanks for info guys, it's getting harder to work in by BIG BACK YARD with out a tractor, may have to figure a way to buy one sooner. Dirt and rock to move, brush hogging, and mowing area around ponds and trails, etc.. Will keep you posted. Ron L.

I own a 3505 w/FEL. This is the same as the 3525, but without the new body style. I use it on 10 1/2 acres. The package I bought included a 5' Howse box blade, a 5' Howse shredder, and a Dale Phillips posthole digger. I use the shredder, box blade and front-end loader frequently. Over the past few weekends I have been helping a friend do some road work. I used the box blade to even out some high spots and to form a ditch on each side of the road. The front end loader was used to load road base into a trailer (pulled by my friend's old Case tractor), from which we shoveled the road base onto low spots in the road. As my friend put it, it would have been considerably more work if we had to load the trailer up with the shovels.

I now have about 50 hours on my 3505 and I have no complaints. It is a well built machine and makes for a great utility tractor.

Found a Mahindra owner in my neck of the woods and called him last night. I forgot to ask model #, but he said his was 40 hp, 4wd, w/FEL. Owned for 1 yr w/250 hrs and no problems what so ever. He recommends 4wd especially w/FEL. He also knows 2 others w/Mahindras. Each over a year and no complaints. He invited me to come by and test drive, hope to do that on 5th. I am still open to others, but the Mahindras are looking very good. Thanks again. Ron L.

Tgat sounds like the 4110, which is a good sized machine. It is more like a utility than a CUT.
