I am looking to get a Skid Steer Conversion adapter to convert my pin on Front End Loader to the SSQA system. I already know it is a good idea. I need some help comparing 2 models. They are:

1) WR Long Adapter (From Everything Attachments): W.R. Long Pin on Tractor Loader Bucket to Universal Quick Attach Converter, Adapter | Free Ground Shipping for 1,000 miles!!

2) Unlimited Fabrication Adapter: Skid Steer Bobtach

Weight is about the same for both. Price is similar when considering shipping, though choice #2 is still cheaper. Welds look a little rougher on choice #2, at least in the photos.

Is there any benefit of having the cross bar centered, like in choice 2, vs at the bottom like in choice 1?

What about the pin operating level location or mechanism design?

How much does the angle of the adapter matter? Choice 2 (WR Long) is supposed to be 10 degrees forward tilt. My current bucket sits at 0 degrees tilt. Don't know about choice #1.

Any experience with either adapter?

Thank you.

I bought one for my JD 855 work great but beware of how much it weighs because you loose buck/ fork lifting weight and buts you're attachment 4-6" farther forward. If you have large tractor you'll have no problem my 855 1,000 pick ratings went done to 800 or so

The crossbar is a good thing it keeps both tilt Clyinders even and together when changing front attachments. But again it more weight taking away from lifting power

Is either one of them made in USA? If so go with that one.

I don't have any experience with either one of those two brands. But I believe that Ted from everything attachments does not sell junk. The one he is showing looks nice my only concern is the only support is at the bottom. The other one appears to have the support a bit more centered. Not sure if this makes a difference either way but doesn't look like you'll wrong with either one.

Here is a picture of the one on my tractor it is made by bobcat. It looks like the cross brace is beefy but closer to the bottom. Hope this helps.

Here are a few more things I am considering:

WR Long (choice 1) already has my loader design on file...so I won't have to make measurements that I may of may not get right.

I have to take measurements for choice 2, but choice 2 does seem to be beefier.

The function of the cross bar is to keep the plates aligned while hooking up the attachment. You could completely remove the crossbar and the adapter will still work. You would have to be careful to get both plates seated when hooking on to an attachment.

More rollback is good, not sure if that is "forward tilt".

If the loader arms outside measurement is more than 44" you might have a problem with the attachment plate hitting the adapter where it pins to the arms.

I will see if I can find that thread.

Several years ago I bought one from Hayspear.com. It was adjustable for different width loader arms. Not a bad unit, but a little heavy for the LA 403 loader on a Kubota B3030. Also, the fasteners securing the QA latch levers kept loosening. When changing attachments, the levers didn't want to stay in the up position.

I believe Titan Attachments (Loader Forks | PalletForks.com | (800) 605-8241) sells a complete SSQA assembly to convert pin-on to SSQA as well.

They also sell just the SSQA brackets (complete with handles, springs, pins, etc.) for around $185 if you weld and want to roll your own.

That's what I did - just used an SSQA attachment plate (which I also got from them) as a jig, and then welded on a piece of pipe between the two brackets to create the tractor-side SSQA assembly.
