Looking to possibly purchase 1969 John Deere 110

I have found an ad on craigslist for an old 110. The tractor seems to be about 90% restored. Wondering if $1000 would be a good price to offer or if that still seems steep. Also wondering as to the longevity this mower would get and whether it is capable of mowing a little less than an acre.

The price does seem steep. It does not have a big cut and no floating deck. They do not do a good job on uneven ground as the deck will did in and tear up grass. They are very reliable tractors and lots were produced.

Mike, thanks for the info. I have also found a 1989 Simplicity Sunstart 20hp that seems to run good with hydraulics and has the dual brakes . Would you say that it would be a better purchase than this Deere?
