I am looking at a Belarus 9345. Looks to have brand new tires on a 23 year old tractor. 4WD, loader. Good price, but I don't know much about this brand. Anyone have any experience with this or heard anything about this tractor? The company has been making tractors since 1946 but this is the first time I have heard of them.

Just remember, you don't drive the Belarus!
The Belarus drives you!

be sure & check the clutch condition when you test drive, they are known for frequent clutch failures, regards

Don't know about the newer ones, but the old ones where a marvel of simplicity. Diesel in fuel tank, and 30W oil in Everything else, hydralic, axles, transmission, oil sump, ect.

Heavy, very heavy built tractors.

Russian engineering. Maybe OK if you are an experienced heavy equipment mechanic.

US market model numbers always seemed unique. Looking at photos of one it looks like an MTZ built tractor. Appears similar to a 5480 or 5490 which would be similar to the older 925.

14/4 speed or 9/8 speed shuttle, dry clutch.

They are cheap power and if you get a good one, you have a good one :) Heavy, simple tractors with a decent amount of thought put in them.

They have poor resale and were often bought new by smaller farms wanting a new tractor for a lot less money.

MTZ were sold worldwide and parts shouldn't be a crazy issue when ordering online, just don't expect to go to a dealership for anything. The Ukraine/Russia thing could pose some parts challenges since they are built in the country Belarus next to Russia.

If it's MINT and CHEAP I'd consider it.

The air-cooled diesel is the best part of those rusky tractors! They start good in the cold, but that's about the end of the good.

Poor clutches, hoses, belts, batteries, oil leaks and worst of all, the electrical system. They have a lot of nickel and dime problems, and drive like they were made in the 1930's. lol

I'd still take one over almost any china built tractor, but I pray I never have to make that choice!

Farmer i work for has one, its not comfortable at all, leaks everything and the transmission is super noisy. better be a good deal to consider it IMO
