I think the B7800 is my choice. Went to the local dealer today and spent about an hour and a half. Great salesman answered all questions. They had only one B7800 and it had a FEL and turf tires. It was sold but he let me take it for a spin. I LOVED it. I compared it to the MF 1500 series and the NH TC 30. The thing just seemed right. I was given a price of 16650.00 for tractor with R4 tires, FEL and woods HD 5' bush hog. Is this a fair price? He did say they don't dicker on pricing, but would take 400.00 0ff for cash. The next thing to consider is, do I buy now or wait and see what if any changes are in store for the 2008's. Can't remember being this excited when spending large money for a long time.

Your so close to the 2008’s coming out - I would wait. Lets see if some major changes are on the fore front.

If not you, can always buy a leftover 2007 for an even better price once the 08’s come out.

No matter what comes out in "08, you'll love that 7800 for years to come!

I won't offer any advice as to jump or wait, but, if you like the 7800, why see what a new model for more money will bring??

I agree. Biased indeed but I do like the B7800.

US$16,500 is a decent price.

Mine, with turfs, FEL, MMM...... US$18,000

The salesman said the 08's are announced in September. As I understand it, tractors are not dependent on model year as to future resale value as are cars and trucks. Not that I have any intentions to sell it, I need to justify the most bang for the buck if that makes any sense. What I need this toy...err I mean tool  for is maintaining some rather hilly woods trails, taking care of a 1300 ft driveway, deer food plots and making improvements to our 45 acre cabin property. The only reason I'm dragging my feet a little, I have no barn or shed to store it yet. I sure hate to leave that beauty just sitting beside the cabin when I'm an hour away.

Insofar as a particular model changes very little if at all from year-to-year during its run. But, when that model is retired and replaced with a newer model with more this and bigger that, then that does factor into resale value. There's allegedly a replacement TBA for the B7800 for '08. If you can afford the wait for a better model, it might be worth it - but of course you're gonna pay for the improvement. Again, if you can afford the wait, like Kendall said you might be able to snatch up a leftover B7800. Just be aware that you won't be the only one thinking the same thing.
Either way, I don't see how you can possibly lose.

Don't forget that this good experience with the dealer is a huge selling point. Tell him you're considering waiting for the '08's to see if, A) they have some wicked-cool feature you can't do without, or B) Kubota offers killer deals to clear out the 07's. You may get a 'sneak preview' of one or both!

Then, buy a tractor and have a ball. My FIL has a 7800 and loves it.

Thats a great tractor and a decent price but he isn't doing you any favors by taking $400 off. That is the current standard Kubota rebate for cash sales on B series tractors. I just got a B7610 and received the same $400.

Thats exactly my thought. As I have no storage building at present, the rush is slowed somewhat. Also, n8wrl has negotiated a deal or two I'll bet and what a great thought. I sure am glad I hooked up with site and the good advice from the folks on it. Truth be told, my tractor search began with just an old MF135 or so to do flat work. You guys have cost me a bunch..:D Thanks
