Backhoe Looks like Wallenstein makes a backhoe for SubCUTs

I was just doing a quick search thru Ebay to see what was out there and ran across an auction for a Wallenstein backhoe that appears to be made for SubCUT sized tractors like the the Kubota BX, Deere 2210 etc. There are some pics on the auction with it mounted on a BX and a Deere. I still think I like the Woods Groundbreaker X better but there might be some people out there who are interested in this too.

Doesn't look like there is much info out there about it - did a quick search and all I could come up with is one page on the entire internet that mentioned the model number - GX500

It's a pretty poor website, and doesn't offer anything the Beaver Valley site doesn't offer. I have the GX700 - 7' backhoe on mine. It works well, no problems with it. I can't say if it's better or worse than a Woods because I've never owned a Woods but I believe the manufacturer provided specs are very comparable (for what they are worth). I can tell you it was quite a bit less money than a Woods.

Most of the local tractor dealers sell the Wallenstein Backhoes around here because they are a local manufacturer. Here they come in Kioti Orange, Kubota Orange, or black. The dealers tell me that they are great and will fit the CK20 to the DK40 and all of the Kubota B & L tractors. Here are the typical prices asked last November in Canadian dollars including the bucket.

GX600 (6' with CK20 mount) $6,300 CAD
GX600 (6' with 3PH mount) $6,000 CAD
GX700 (7' with 3PH mount) $6,400 CAD
GX900 (9' with 3PH mount) $7,500 CAD
Optional PTO Pump Kit $1000.00 CAD

My Deere dealer has one on a 2210. Cute little thing. It is JD Green. Dealer said it was around 6k.

The only thing that I saw that I liked better than the stock Kubota is that they offer a 15" bucket. Whether the machine has enough capacity to operate the 15" bucket is another thing......

I meant to mention that I've also seen one mounted on a Massey GC2300 subcompact. The local dealer had it a while back. I believe it was on a subframe. Not sure if he still has it or not.

My Bro-in-law has the 600 for his GC2300 - red of course - sub-frame mounted as opposed to 3PH. They sell a lot of them in this area since they are very local and they are somewhat better made (according to him - he is a metal dude - fabricator / designer) than the MF TLB one. Works very well. He finds it especially useful for digging and placing larger trees (larger than what you could handle yourself) Come to think of it, all I would have to do is get that frame setup with the hose re-route and I could use it on my GC2300 as well...hmmmm ;-) Henry...
