Has anyone reduced the amount of free play in their control arms? I am trying to detrmine if replacing the sleeves (part no. 75595-72150) for a B21 is typically the way this is done. I have inspected the FEL control assembly, and it appears the issue is either the sleeves or the control rod pin holes wearing down (part no. 75540-62160). I compared the free play on a new B21 sitting on my dealer's lot with mine and there is a significant difference. I'm just trying to tighten things up on my unit comparable to new.
Reduced? My BX24 FEL joystick developed a significant amount of slop in about a year and a half. I found several loose nuts and actually a broken control block. The block ($122 for the part) was replaced under manufacturer warranty (2 years on the tractor, 3 years power train). I guess I just got used to the slop over that time since everything was still in working order. It was the additional lock whenever I curled the loader that got me to looking at the cause and that's when I saw the broken control block. When I got it back after the repair...WOW, dramatic difference.
