I'm losing about quarter of an inch over night of coolant in my JD 650 and that's having not run it at all. I've checked all the exposed hoses for leaks and I can't find any and there isn't any spot on the shed floor that shows signs of something leaking and without a tech. man I'm afraid of going any further. Any ideas? Right now I'm either thinking headgaskets or cracked block.

Fill your cooling system and get a pressure test gauge and pump it up to your specs and you should coolant squirt out somewhere hopefully
works everytime :D

That is unless, as ToadHill suggests, it's the head gasket. Pressurizing the system and looking for leaks only works if the leak is on the outside. Loss of coolant but no puddle on the floor is a bad sign. Most likely it IS either a blown head gasket or a cracked block. Have you checked for coolant in the engine oil?

I'm going to do that tomorrow, as today is a full today. This is the first break I had today since I posted, but that is on the agenda tomorrow. The one sign that I know my truck makes when it had blown headgaskets(and warped heads, that was a joy, studded now though) is that it would puff white smoke from the burning coolant, I'm not getting that with the tractor though. I was hoping it was the o-rings on the sleeves, but when I took a look, I realized hey, no sleeves, so much for that one. I hope it's just a headgasket issue at this point and hopefully my heads aren't warped, I was just hoping that there might have been another possibility that I missed that wouldn't be to where I would have to worry about the headgaskets. Thanks for the replies, I'll let y'all know tomorrow afternoon hopefully.

Well, I found out that it is the headgasket. It looks flat, so hopefully I caught it in time and nothing is warped. Thanks for the help everyone and hopefully I'll have ole faithful up and running before the New Year(I'm incredibly slow when it comes to this type of stuff).
