KAMA TS254C--------------Blew my hydraulic pump (outer case cracked and oil blew all over) while pulling a huge load of stone in my box blade. Replaced pump after some rotation issues and finally got hydraulics to work. Shortly afterward went to use machine and found most of the fluid on the floor under the tractor. It came out of the top of the transmission case---from under where the shift levers go into the case. How did that fluid get into the transmission case and overflow. The hydraulic fluid tank is right above the transmission but they are separate housings---not connected. The only possible connection?? is where the pump mounts to the pump drive shaft which comes out of the back of the transmission. Could the pump shaft seal be bad and cause the fluid to get pumped into the trans and overflow??? Is that the symptom that a bad pump shaft seal would cause.
Thanks for the help.
