Hope someone can help before the tow truck arrives. Tractor start losing power and would barely idle. Stalls when any load is applied. (fel, grade, etc.). Fuel does not appear to be contaminated, but I drained what i could and put in fresh. Drained visible fuel bowl and filter and followed air vent procedure. Fuel does not refill bowl and does not come out of vent screws. If i turn on the key, I can feel and hear the pump running but no fuel being delivered. disconnected fuel line before and after filter and negligible drips come out, shouldn't it be powered out by the fuel pump? I am a novice at this, but maybe started from the wrong place trying to diagnose and repair. Any input could help save the tow charge. Plus i could learn something and that is always valuable.

The fuel pump works off of pressure.

I would try removing the tank supply line from the pump and see if I'm getting good free flow. Is your filter screen still in the goose neck. I see a lot of this type failure. people remove the screen or damage it with a funnel. Dirt gets in the tank(grass, sticks, etc)and clogs the tank delivery port.

If you have no fuel running out at the filter bowl, you probably have debris in the bottom of the fuel tank, blocking the outlet of the tank. It should gravity feed the fuel bowl without the pump.

Well, thanks for your advice friends . I took the supply line to the filter loose and gave it a shot of air and presto, fuel began to flow. Tractor runs fine now. But now that I have the problem identified, I must take out the fuel tank remove whatever is inside. To Jabonee, there is not a screen in the fuel filler neck. I bought the tractor used and didn't know there was supposed to be one. Will check with dealer for the part.

Just get you a funnel that has a screen and save the trouble..

Glad you got it going! Make sure and run it for a while after you change the filter for now on and it will bleed the system for you
