FNH TC29
I have a TC29 tractor with a Woods RD7200. Lately, I don't seem to have a lot of power to the mower. I just sharpened the blades and replace the belt. The grass is long, but I've never had it bog down so much. I also have the deck up almost as high as it will go. The RPMs on the tractor don't seem to be affected much when it does bogs down and I just replaced the air, hydraulic, and fuel filters. I do notice however that the RPMs do drop dramatically whenever I turn hard left or right and the mower is slow to engage when I take off to mow. Does any of this have to do with the clutch although the clutch seems strong. By the way the tractor has 1000 hrs on it.

Tks.

I believe you have a 2 position clutch. When you release the clutch, first the mower engages, then the transmission. If that is the case, then either your pto clutch is out of adjustment or shot. You will have to consult your owners manual for the proper adjustment of the linkages. That's my best guess at this time.

Or else the slip clutch on the mower needs adjustment. That is if it has one.
