Tractor
1987 john deere 855 sold and bought a YT235 Yanmar, love this tractor
Few weeks ago my 4 wheel drive dropped out on my brand new YT235 with only 16 hours. Luckily, the shop where I bought it offers free pick up and delivery for the first year, well after almost 2 weeks they said the retainer clip on the front drive shaft under the protective plastic cover was laying in the tube.... Huh?
Mechanic showed me where to look next time, hope there is no next time, made by man, subject to failure. First mechanic tested the hydraulic pressure like I asked I guess they forgot to write it down on my receipt. Said it was ok, beats me if it is, I'll have to go somewhere to find quick connects to match my BH75 I bought a 3000 psi guage sometime ago.
Now that I bought a new tractor I regret not having them install front remote for a grapple and 2 remotes for the rear. Maybe later on as time and money permits.

Have a post script, been having loader capacity issues. My son borrowed tractor to dig trench for swimming pool for father in law, the escavator left huge dirt piles in the yard which Tyler was spreading. In doing so he could only use loader bucket to half of it's capacity, just would not lift a full bucket under any circumstances, not half throttle, nor at full throttle.
Also reading other posts on similar problems, people reporting that 3 point hitch lever left in the half way point will direct hydraulic flow to 3 point hitch diverting pressure away from loader. So tractor is fighting itself. Understandable. Anyone see this before? I am going to Iook again at my tractor to see if my 3pt lever is moved when I get home, also going to do a video using concrete blocks to show dealership that I'm not crazy. Thoughts?

I believe I read on TBN that a few folks had the same issue where the pressure relief valve on the loader was not set to factory spec on the loader. It required an adjustment or needed to be shimmed. Might want to have the dealer pressure test the system to see if it meets factory specs.

Thanks for the insight, at the dealership I asked originally on the service write up to be sure to measure the hydraulic pressure. Just told me it's fine, I'm not sure what to do with that when nothing was written down.

I had a similar hydraulic issue. It was first caused by fitting leaks on the loader. Eventually a hose blew and caused bucket failure. The dealer replaced the hose and ran checks on the hydraulic system. It seems to work fine now.

Dealership came this past Monday to pick up tractor and diagnose hydraulic problem, was told their service dept is backed up some but I thought it would be better to have unit on their property, because of concrete forms and pour today.

Update 9/25/18 90° fitting on hose to backhoe leaking, o-ring blown out. Talked to mechanic, he said once they fix o-ring they will check out whole tractor. He also replied that a call is in to Yanmar to get factory hydraulic pressure settings, they are afforded that kind of information on hydraulic pump settings, I found that odd, but I didn't challenge him over the phone. As I sit here I'm still scratching my head wondering why that's not dealership specific information and readily available to have on record for every model they sell.
